Both championships were particularly cold and bitter this year. The weather was especially challenging at the Buccleuch and Queensberry Estate where we stood feeling cold and damp as the snow continued to fall. The dog coats were essential to keep the dogs comfortable over the duration of the Championships. The waterproof outer-layer prevented the water from the rain and snow getting through and the lining helped retain the heat. The microfiber lining is particularly good at wicking away any moisture produced by any physical exertion, such as from a run at a trial. By helping to reduce the moisture while keeping the dog warm, the dog is less likely to experience post-run ‘shivers’. For extra warmth, try layering up with the duel layer towelling coat.
